Yahweh: The God of All the Books

‘See now that I, I am He, And there is no god besides Me;’

New American Standard Bible: 1995 Update Duet. 32:39.

Within the ‘Song of Moses’ is a very powerful revelation when understood through the heart of the Prophetic Worldview. Moses quotes Yahweh as declaring that there is no god (Hebrew: elohim), but He. The overarching context of the Hebrew singular הוּא (hu or He) is Being or Existence, meaning that all of Being and Existence, as the human mind can fathom, is Yahweh. Please do not gloss over that last declaration. If we truly, as disciples of the Way (now commonly known as ‘Christianity’) were to receive the breath of the power behind the inspiration of the scripture, we would come alive to the divine design of theology as a revelation FROM G-d, and not just ABOUT G-d.

Christianity has erroneously attempted to box Yahweh into the “Christian God”. Christians have limited Yahweh to the pages of the Bible and relegated the Omnipotent Almighty God to the machinations of their own understanding, reinforced by flawed interpretations and pseudo-religious experiences. They rarely contemplate who was God prior to the writing of Genesis. Was God waiting for the Torah to be written and distributed before making His existence known to man?

The knowledge of God has been operative since the dawn of humanity. Our Bible declares in Paul’s letter to the Roman disciples:

“19 because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse.”

New American Standard Bible: 1995 Update Rom. 1:19–20.

The word, “they” in the above passage doesn’t refer to just Christians, but humanity as a whole. That is right Christians, Yahweh is not just the secret of Christianity. Yahweh, our Father has made Himself known to ALL PEOPLE, at ALL TIMES.

Paul’s first letter to the Corinthian Believers states:

“28 When all things are subjected to Him, then the Son Himself also will be subjected to the One who subjected all things to Him, so that God may be all in all.”

New American Standard Bible: 1995 Update 1 Cor. 15:28.

So, in essence, the Father (Yahweh) is All in All. He is All in all languages, all cultures, all countries, all continents, all orthodox religions, and believe it or not, ALL BOOKS.

Paul declared to the Athens, while preaching on Mars Hill:

“23 For while I was passing through and examining the objects of your worship, I also found an altar with this inscription, ‘TO AN UNKNOWN GOD.’ Therefore what you worship in ignorance, this I proclaim to you.”

New American Standard Bible: 1995 Update Acts 17:23.

Paul declared that the “Unknown God” of the Athens was indeed Yahweh, the Father of all creation.

If we will declared that God is omnipresent (present EVERYWHERE) then name a place where Yahweh isn’t present?

While we may be able to declare that God is unknown to a particular people or religious adherents, we cannot say that God doesn’t exist among them.

Yahweh is the God of All the Books. Yahweh is known by many names. For our Father so loved the WORLD (and everyone in it) that He gave his only begotten Son, that WHOSOEVER…

Our job isn’t to reject a people or religion because Yahweh may be “the Unknown God” to them, our mission and assignment is to study to show ourselves capable of making Yahweh known to them. The art of kingdom and apostolic evangelism isn’t beating the other person down with the God in your Bible, but to understand Yahweh in such a way that you can show the omnipresent God in their own books and spiritual thought.
